This single vineyard Pinot Noir represents the pinnacle of winemaking at Privato. Harvested from Lake Country, the grapes for this limited release wine were whole cluster fermented before aging 18 months in French oak followed by an additional 18 months in the bottle. This wine will only improve with age. An earthy, spiced nose opens to ripe raspberry and dark cherry flavours that linger on a velvety and generous finish.
Pinot is well knowned for being an extremely food-friendly wine. This Grande Reserve has rich character and structure. While it would pair wonderfully with Boeuf Bourguignon. It is equally elegant with a decadent arugula wood-fired pizza drizzled with creamy sauce.
