2018 Gewürztraminer

Tasting Notes

Yellow green in hue, this wine has distinctive and powerful aromas of lychee and roses. The flavours are exceptionally complex, showing notes of lychee, crushed walnuts and tropical fruit. The palate finishes off dry which makes it the perfect pairing for any Asian inspired dish.

Winemaking Notes

After a hugely popular first vintage, this second vintage of Gerwürztraminer is produced from well established vines in Summerland, BC. Gently pressed to minimize extraction of harsh components from the skins and seeds this vintage is a fruit forward wine with aromas of lychee and roses.

Food Pairings

Gewürztraminer is a remarkably food friendly wine. Asian, Indian or Latin American inspired dishes such as samosas with mango chutney, spring rolls or curries are all excellent choices. This wine would also pair perfectly with apple and rosemary baked brie.
