2016 North of 50 Pinot Noir

Tasting Notes

This exciting new vintage displays enticing aromas of bright cherries, wild raspberries and a hint of herbs.  On the palate, a soft, silky mouth feel complements the layers of lasting fruit flavours. Enjoy this wine now or age for a good 7 years.

Winemaking Notes

“North of 50” Pinot Noir is harvested from the most northern Pinot Noir vineyard in North America. Aged for 18 months in French oak before resting an additional year in the bottle, this exciting new vintage of the notorious heartbreak grape is our first release of single vineyard Pinot Noir from our home vineyard in the Thompson River Valley and is our proudest expression of Pinot Noir from Northern Canada.

Food Pairings

Pinot Noir is the best varietal for food pairing because of it’s flexibility. Consider pastas with rich creamy sauces, wood fired pizza topped with arugula and basil, quiche or wild mushroom risotto.
